1711 OFFICE

In collaboration with our friends at Delineate Studio, we renovated a former transitional housing complex in East Austin into neighborhood retail and office space.  The design challenge involved counteracting the low ceilings, myriad of small, dark rooms and large bulky overhangs.  Our answer was an exercise in stripping back – taking out ceilings to reveal wood trusses, removing interior walls and modifying the structure at the overhang to create a slim roof profile with new clerestory windows for improved daylighting.
