Thoughtbarn helped Big Bend Brewing - a popular craft beer formerly headquartered in Alpine, TX - design a new 55,000sf production and taproom facility in an industrial park in San Antonio.  The challenge of the taproom was to create an inviting, comfortable space within a very large, bland warehouse.  We brought the ceiling height down with a secondary structural wood deck, created generous openings in the concrete walls and added terracotta brick and tile accents to warm up the space.  An outdoor area with new plantings and a perimeter wall further soften and define the taproom zone.
